It's fair time in Carcassonne. A traveling salesman arrives and brings his newest invention: a wondrous catapult! His demonstrations amaze the crowds and inspire the creative to find many uses for this new contraption. Of course, not every planned use is well thought out or successful...

Every time a landscape tile with a fair is drawn, the catapult springs into action. The challenge for the players: choose the tactically correct token, select the appropriate target, correctly estimate direction and strength of the catapult, check for wind, and hurl. Will the hurl be successful? If so, the different catapult tokens represent different effects, which can alter the game in significant ways. Thus, this expansion adds a dexterity component to this great game. (from the back of the box)
