Lovecraft and Board Game Fans, this is the game for you. It mixes Cthulhu Mythos, and role-playing elements to create a fun romp through the Arkham. Is it perfect? No, the play mechanics, though functional, are a bit more involved than say Monopoly, or Zombies. Also, the game is long. A quick game lasts 3 hours. Interest in Lovecraft is not a must but it is helpful. Can the game be enjoyed without it? Yes, but knowing the Mythos helps bring the presentation together. Overall, I really like this game. It?s fun, smart, and involved, it just isn?t something I would play with my non-gamer friends.
