Fishin’ Frenzy, from Giant Tree House, is a fun game of catching fish, coins, and a treasure chest. The game includes 4 plastic fish, 4 plastic coins, 1 plastic treasure chest, 1 pop up cloth barrel, and 2 plastic fishing poles. Unlike other games of this type, the fishing poles in Fishin’ Frenzy actually reel in the line! The poles have plastic “hook” pieces that end in Velcro and all of the catches have points where the Velcro attaches to reel them up from the barrel. This one was a huge hit at the Origins Game Fair in 2011. The children kept coming back again and again to play with it and even a few adults joined in at times.

The fishing poles measure roughly 28 inches long, the barrel is roughly 13 inches tall, and the various catch items measure between 1 ¼ inches for the coins to 3 ½ inches for the fish and treasure chest. There are three styles of play suggested on the back of the box (beginner, challenge, and advanced). Once you’ve mastered one level there is room for continued play.

Fishin’ Frenzy is designed for children ages 3 and up. It can be played indoors or outdoors with 1 or 2 players.
