When Darkness Comes is a tile-based board game that combines roleplaying with boardgaming. This is the first core set, titled "The Awakening." It is set in a modern day horror setting with all kinds of undead for players to deal with (six complete scenarios are included as well as a gamemaster campaign). It can be played either with a gamemaster or without. WDC uses the "variable tile" system so every game the play area changes. This in turn causes every game to be different from the last one.
